Gay Art Gallery Pride Exhibit Contract

"PRIDE" EXHIBIT

Gay Art Gallery is accepting submissions of art in any medium for consideration for addition to its online group exhibit on the theme of Pride. The theme is Gay Pride, Lesbian Pride, Bisexual Pride, Transgender Pride, Queer Pride. You can e-mail us images of the individual works you want us to look at (limit 3 items); if e-mail is not feasible, mail copies to our P.O. Box address (bottom of page). You can send a completed artist contract with your submission, or wait until we accept your work. All items should be available for sale. IMPORTANT - You must explain how your work relates to or depicts the theme of GLBTQ Pride.

The show opened June 2001 and will be up indefinitely. While Summer is the traditional time for many of our Pride celebrations, we know that those now take place throughout the year, and we hope to make this a continuing theme on Gay Art Gallery. Please continue to submit works. If you have questions, please contact us.

The following is an agreement between Gay Art Gallery, [headquartered in the USA, operating as an online art gallery on the World Wide Web] and ____________________________________, an artist submitting a work or works of art to be considered for the group exhibition "Pride" to be shown on Gay Art Gallery's website, and offered for sale to the public.

1     Submission of Art for the Group Exhibition "Pride"

The artist should submit art for this exhibition in electronic form if possible or by copies through regular mail. Not all works submitted for consideration will be chosen for the exhibit.

2     Pricing of Artworks

The artist will not sell the same item(s) on his/her own website, or on any other website, at a lower price than is listed on Gay Art Gallery.

3     Information

The artist will furnish all requested information for exhibited works. A copyright notice will accompany all works.

4     Gallery Sales

Gay Art Gallery does not guarantee the sale of any items exhibited. The "Pride" exhibit opened June 2001 and will be on display for an open-ended amount of time. The artist must advise us if a work on display is sold outside of our exhibition. There are no fees for participating in the "Pride" exhibit.

5     Delivery and Shipping

Items that are purchased can be sent directly by the artist or sent to Gay Art Gallery for shipment to the customer. All deliveries must be made in a timely manner. Shipping or delivery costs will be charged to the purchaser.

6     Commissions and Payments

The commission for artworks for sale on Gay Art Gallery is 35%. The amounts of purchase prices on sold works, less the commission, will be paid to the artist as soon as the purchaser's payment has cleared, and when delivery to the customer has been confirmed.

7     Publicity

Information and images of artworks submitted by the artist to Gay Art Gallery may be used for publicity for this exhibit, unless otherwise requested. Publication quality scans must be supplied upon request. Copyright notice will appear with all images used for publicity purposes.
