THE SPHERE / LA ESFERA
BETWEEN US / DEBOCCIA
"Why do I paint? I do not know it with certainty. I just know it's a
necessity, as important as eating. Shapes come into my head and then I search
among my friends for the models that will help me materialize the idea. There's
infinite joy in the process of painting; there is also an idea of sacredness in
the 'form' and a whole experience with the planning and the
composition. Painting is necessary in my life, and all the models participating
are my friends, occasional lovers, and my dogs."
