LR :  From Riga With Love

The artist known as 'LR' lives and works in Latvia. After a stint in the Soviet Army, he studied drawing and design. He has been showing his art since 1998 in individual and group exhibits, but Gay Art Gallery is proud to introduce his work to an international audience. He sees his own vision of gay erotica as differing from that of many other artists. Many of these works are visions of his boyfriend (and yes, he is over 21) in whom he finds the inspiration of androgynous beauty. This can be what makes us physically immortal, through art, and his fantasy on the Greek Gods mirrors this theme as well. LR would like his art to be enjoyed by everyone, but he recognizes that one way to start to crash the boundaries is to give this art to those people who really love it. From his point of view " one is not gay just because you love someone's beautiful body - all you need is love."
