MOYA: Form & Beauty

English artist 'Moya' studied at the Chelsea College of Art with the intention of pursuing a career in art and design. However, seduced by the salary she finally succumbed to the lure of a business post in the technology sector. She married and for several years was occupied creating an exceptional and diverse array of male and female nudes, her children. Positive changes in her personal life led her to the rekindling of her love of art and she settled in the figurative field. "Apart from my Van Gogh moments, losing myself in a swath of contour and form is a positive pleasure for me - days disappear in a cloud of pastel dust." Over the past five years she has undertaken commissioned works with great success, and she periodically exhibits in London and Brighton. 

One of her sons, who is gay, enthusiastically introduced his circle of friends to her and she discovered that the flavour of her work greatly appealed to the gay community. "Having four sons, one of whom is gay, has opened a portal for my family of understanding and appreciation for the gay community - l believe my work demonstrates a bold, inclusive expression of beauty and form."
