Gonzalo Benard:  Sins +

Gonzalo Benard is a multi-talented artist living in Barcelona, Spain. He was born into a family with several generations of artists. In his youth, he studied the great masters of painting and sculpture, and started visiting well known painters' ateliers. He was director of two art galleries in Portugal, and publishing coordinator of Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon. During time in in Nepal and Tibet he studied the use of colors and other artistic techniques, also the influence of the oriental philosophy in painting. But this background gave him a sense of ecumenism in his art - that society is created and built by man, but that "man can be the supreme in the purity or perverseness of his soul." Gonzalo's work is in collections in Portugal, Spain, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Brazil, the United States, and Australia. His recent exhibitions have been held in Spain, Portugal, Nepal, Belgium, and the United States. Simple, yet profound, most of his works sell very quickly.
